I love blogging in real time, I really do, though I usually can only do that when I’m alone. The spotlight is on Loof and their happy hour today!
The bar area and deck of this hip, newly renovated rooftop bar. Loof’s been around a long time, and while previously the place had been known for a casual laid-back ambience, the vibe it is channeling now is definitely more upscale (certainly reflected in its pricing) and just a tiny bit quirky. The combination of rounded ‘scale-like’ tiles, rattan and yellow wire chairs, high tables, greenery and view came together effortlessly to form a chic alfresco watering hole. Well played designers!
Loof practice a tiered happy hour (pictured above) and the prices are really reasonable during 5-7pm. Prices are slightly on the high side outside of happy hour so catch it if you can! The Chardonnay ($7) I’m having is nothing to shout about, but hey I’m happy enough enjoying the breeze through my hair and having an early workday. That said, the experience would be better if their service staff were easier to catch.
They revamped their previously pizza-centric food menu too, boasting items like Spicy Saucy Edamame ($11), Babi-que Sliders ($16) and Ramly Burger ($18) while keeping bar favorites like Wings ($16) and Crispy Whitebait ($14).
Sit at the bar circumference and you get to watch as the sun sets and lights go up in the CBD and Raffles Hotel. See you there during happy hour!
